 Cabarita Beach

Topping the list for 2020 best beach is Cabarita Beach on the Tweed Coast. Tucked between Byron Bay and the Gold Coast this world-renowned surfing spot and family friendly destination will sure impress. Cabarita Beach is a quaint seaside beach village not too be missed.

**Please note the south side of Norries headland is an off lead dog beach

 Kingscliff (Cudgen Creek)

Kingy is a sleepy beach side town on the northern NSW coast. With one main street in the town and it is alive with busy cafes, and restaurants. Cudgen Creek is the local’s favourite water playground. The water is crystal clear and perfect for stand-up paddle boarding and swimming for the kids. Bring the umbrella and be sure to set up for the day.

Fingal Head - Dreamtime Beach

Dreamtime Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in northern New South Wales and it truly is a hidden gem! Surfers and beachgoers are guaranteed to escape crowds when visiting this epic Fingal Beach with picture perfect conditions, epic waves and plenty of sand for everyone.

 Hastings Creek

Hastings Point (creek) has provided a wonderful water playground for local families for years. The creek is perfect for families with little children to splash and play. There is an abundance of sheltered picnic spots along the creek with a takeaway store across the road.

Byron Bay

Byron Bay is approximately a 45 minute drive south. Byron Bay is a coastal town located on the far-north coast of NSW, Australia. Home to Australia's most easterly point and the iconic Cape Byron lighthouse, the region is known for its spectacular beaches, unique shopping and dining experiences, world-class festivals, and vibrant community spirit. 

Brunswick

Brunswick Heads is a quaint little seaside town boasting stunning beaches and a spectacular river. Locally referred to as Brunswick or even ‘Bruns’, Brunswick Heads is located on the North Coast of NSW 18 km or about 20 minutes drive north of Byron Bay. A very pretty town with a trio of gorgeous natural attractions, The Brunswick River, Torakina Beach and Park and Brunswick Heads Main Beach. There really is something for everyone.Be sure to pop into the iconic Brunswick Hotel for a delicious pub lunch and some live entertainment.  

Wollumbin / Mount Warning

At 1156m, Mount Warning dominates the Byron Bay hinterland landscape. A climb to Mount Warning’s summit to watch the dawn is a must-do climb for anyone with an adventurous spirit! The trail to the summit of Mt Warning offers beautiful 360 degree views of the Great Dividing Range from the peak. 

Coolangatta

A lovely walking trail wraps around Greenmount Hill connecting Greenmount Beach to Rainbow Bay from which you can head up the hill to Point Danger. Here you plant one foot in Queensland and another in New South Wales at this lookout, which is also a great place for whale watching. For the avid surfers, be sure to catch some waves at Snapper Rocks. A plentiful of shops and restaurants line the main street of this upbeat bustling suburb on the southern end of the Gold Coast.
